Trent Ball, M.A.

Trent Ball is Associate Provost for Equity and Access at Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO) and provides leadership and management of the Academic Support Centers. Mr. Ball also provides additional leadership to the Division of Equity, Access & Behavioral Health. He assists in assisting in the development of the University’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Plan; provides diversity training and outreach for the academic and administrative units across the University to develop and implement initiatives that focus on the recruitment and retention of minority faculty and staff, as well as underrepresented student populations. Ball is the Past Board Chair for the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE), Past President of The Educational Opportunity Association (EOA) and Past President of MO-KAN-NE - all TRIO and educational opportunity and access promoting professional organizations. Currently, Ball serves on the Ferguson Youth Initiative Board (FYI), Lumina’s Federal Policy Corps 2019-2020, The Board of Directors for Gene Slay’s Girls and Boys Club, Co-chair of St. Louis Graduates Steering Committee and as the TRIO and College Access Programs Representative to the CAS Standards Board of Directors. Ball has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Culver-Stockton College, a Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling and Therapy and is completing a Master’s in Public Administration at Southeast Missouri State University.
