Reasons why partnering with MABHE is vital to the current and next generation of higher higher educational professions in the state of Missouri.

PARTNER WITH PURPOSE IN MIND:

1. Leadership and Personal/Professional Development

Black organizations in higher education have been shaping and building leaders for years. These organizations provide a space for staff, faculty, administrators, and students to have formalized leadership opportunities and positions. This translates to serving as presidents, chancellors, vice presidents, deans, directors, and more on campus and in our communities. There is a huge emphasis on leadership equity, access, and development on campuses across Missouri. It is imperative we generate a pipeline of leaders, while strengthen skills, knowledge, and abilities.

2. Academic Excellence: Staff, Faculty, Administration

Academic Excellence is a vital aspect of the higher education sector. This dimension focuses on staff, faculty, administration, and then students. In alignment with leadership development our missions is to challenge and cultivate higher education professionals to lead-forward. Higher Education professionals is expected to foster academic excellence within the institution amongst colleagues. As a result, students are empowered to achieve academic excellence.

3. Legislative Impact and Community Service

At the core of our organization lies a duty to social action and civic engagement, with an emphasis on Black education at our capital and in our communities. At the helm of an equitable social change, a commitment for education working on behalf top-down propels our people generationally.

4. Partnership/Support System

Partnering with MABHE provides members with a space where lifelong partnerships are extended beyond ordinary memberships. This organization is a network of people willing to “push and pull” one another for a greater mission. We are a resource organization to meet our people at the table or pushing a broom.
